Every Frame A Painting: The Workshop
How to maximize a minimal influence and create epic, compelling wedding cinema.
It’s finally here: our very first workshop, ‘Every Frame A Painting’. Designed to level up your skill by improving your understanding of the theory behind the choices that we make: why you do what you do. In the workshop we’ll focus on two things: the creative approach and the business side of things. We’ll teach you everything you’ll need to know to not only create amazing films, but also to run a successful business. We’ll show you how to use storytelling to create compelling edits, and how a little preparation can go a long way. We’ll teach you the single most important thing we have learned, and how it transformed both our films and our business.
Most weddings are very challenging – they almost never go as planned. Being able to not only improvise, but to anticipate will help you to gain more confidence, which will massively improve your work. By focusing not just on the practical side of things, we offer a workshop where anybody could learn a thing our two – photographers too. We’ll tell you everything we know, without holding back. We’ll tell you about the things we had to learn the hard way – the things we wished someone would have told us when we were just starting out. The good and the bad. Sign up quick: there are limited spots available.
About The Dreamers.
Yael Ovadia & Hugo van Dijke
A husband and wife videography-team living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We’ve been creating wedding films for almost six years – and loving every second of it. We have a unique style that combines beautiful cinematography with engaging storytelling featuring real, pure emotions From the get-go, we found that we needed to innovate. To create something true to our vision, rather than what’s expected of traditional wedding videography. We ended up with a unique mix of documentary and cinematography, and coined the term Wedding Cinema.
What we’ll talk about.
We thrive when we have our client’s complete trust – but how to gain it? And how to combine a documentary approach with very specific cinematic influences – without making your clients uncomfortable or interfere with the energy of the day?
Our background in journalism as well as our personal backgrounds shows in our films – and that’s a good thing. It’s important to have a creative autograph. A deeper understanding of why you do what you do will help you to find and determine your style, and more importantly, your voice.
Our goal is to inspire you completely. To recharge your creative energy and kickstart a more professional business. To be able to better identify and target your specific audience and clients, and to create cinematic, engaging wedding films.
